Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention of the subconscious that heightens a subject’s receptivity to suggestion, much like focusing the sun’s rays through a magnifying glass. Hypnosis is completely safe and accepted by progressive medicine and science today as an effective therapy for many conditions. Hypnotherapy makes use of a natural and relaxed state of mind that almost everyone experiences regularly. If you have ever driven a few miles without remembering them, lost yourself in a good movie, became completely absorbed in an interesting book or been taken away by a beautiful performance or sight, you were in a light state of hypnosis. During such moments when the conscious mind is disengaged, the subconscious is much more open and receptive.
In a two hour workshop conducted by Certified Hypnotherapist, James Browning, participants will learn how to better manage anxiety, stress, and fear using relaxation techniques including self-hypnosis. $25 at the door or $20 early-bird/student!
